The international publication Public Narratives of Decolonisation and Racial (In)Justice in Central and Southeast Europe has been published, edited by our colleague Andrea Průchová Hrůzová whosupplemented it with a theoretical introduction and one of the chapters. The publication is published by Palgrave Macmillan Cham and is the output of the GAČR project, which is a joint project of the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University and the Institute of Contemporary History of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic.

The book is a collection of essays in which authors from Central and Southeast Europe deal with civilizational ideas and the issue of historical and systemic racial injustice, as reflected in the fields of cultural policy, art and popular culture. The chapters draw on a comparative perspective and qualitative interpretation and largely work with data from the digital environment. Three case studies come from the Czech Republic, and others from Poland, Slovenia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria.
