Society, Communication AND MEDIA
Students will gain knowledge of current media and sociological theories and methods applicable for empirical research in sociology and media studies. They will be able to prepare, lead and implement sociological or media research. The unique combination of sociology and media studies creates ideal prerequisites for successful career development in the field of research, the media sphere and many practical management professions.
The graduates have knowledge of current media and sociological theories as well as qualitative and quantitative methods applicable for empirical research in sociology and media studies. They are also able to prepare, lead and implement sociological or media research. The programme prepares them for a wide range of professions in an agency or an applied research environment whether it be in the non-profit, for profit or public sector. They can take on different positions ranging from mass media analysts or public relations representatives. Graduates are also prepared to further pursue studies in sociology or media studies in Czechia or abroad.
