Department of Public and Social Policy
Department of Public and Social Policy
Established in 1994, The Department of Public and Social Policy (PSP) offers M.A. and Ph.D. programs in both Czech and English, with challenging academic structures. In addition, PSP cooperates with the Department of Sociology in the B.A. program Sociology and Social Policy, and the B.A. program Politics and Public Policy with the Department of Political Science of the Institute of Political Studies.
The core concepts covered in the PSP agenda are public policy, social policy, public economy and public finance, public administration and administrative law, methods of analysis and policy-making. The research focus of PSP faculty members are the design, formulation and implementation of public policies, and the relationship between politics and policy, public policy theory, and public sector decision making.
