    Elections to the FSV UK Academic Senate and UK Academic Senate will take place elctronically from 26 to 28 November, 2024. Proposals for candidates can be submitted until 10 a.m. on 18 November, 2024.

  • Announcement of the loss of Jan Kohoutek

    It is with profound sadness that the Faculty administration shares the news of the passing of doc. Jan Kohoutek, Ph.D., scientist and teacher at the Institute of Sociological Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University.
  • Erasmus+ Placements Call

    Practical placements provide students with another opportunity to travel abroad within Erasmus+ programme. The deadline for application submission is 15 November, 2024. This call concerns the mobilities starting starting from February to May 2025.
  • Call for applications for the POINT programme is open

    For the autumn 2024 round of the POINT program, applications for support can be submitted from November 1, 2024, 6 A.M. to November 30, 2024, 4 P.M. In the autumn call it is possible to apply for financial support for activities which will take place throughout the following calendar year.

    Golden Courses for the best courses of the Summer Semester 2023/2024 according to the student evaluation were awarded. Congratulations to all recipients! Our awarded colleagues are Jaroslava Marhánková (together with Nina Fárová and assistants Magdalena Jozová and Barbora Doležalová) for the course Gender and Society and Jiří Remr for the course Applied Social Research.
  • Who buys eco-certified clothes in the Czech Republic, and why?

    On behalf of the Environment Section of the Czech Sociological Society we would like to invite you to a lecture on sustainable clothing by Eva Richter and Silvia Petty on Thursday, 21 November at the Jinonice Campus (Aula B103). The lecture starts at 17:00 and you can also join it online.
