Bachelor Studies

Social Sciences (SOSCI)

This interdisciplinary programme aims to develop students' analytical skills in the social sciences. Primarily, the programme focuses on current transdisciplinary issues such as the management of complexity, governance, the mediatisation of social relations or the interdependence of society, technology and the natural environment. Furthermore, social research methodology is emphasized as a prerequisite for the development of students' analytical skills and for finding practical solutions to complex problems. We teach both analytical (statistical) and interpretive approaches. We pay special attention to the preparation of the bachelor thesis as a means of enhancing soft skills and project-oriented research.

FUTURE PROSPECTS OF OUR STUDENTS

Our Bachelor's interdisciplinary programme contributes not only to the development of soft skills (language, presentation, expression of thoughts) but also serves as a preparation for project-oriented research that dominates the current expert knowledge production.
