The Jinonice Campus nominated in the Construction of the Year 2024 competition

The Jinonice Campus received a nomination in this year's 32nd edition of the Construction of the Year competition. In total, 38 of the 120 buildings entered were shortlisted. You can watch the recording of the nomination evening, which took place on September 2, 2024 in the Transport Hall of the National Technical Museum in Prague, here.

The nominated constructions will now be assessed by an expert jury. The gala evening of Construction of the Year 2024, where the winning buildings will be announced and special prizes will be awarded, will take place on November 8, 2024 from 8 p.m. in Prague's Rudolfinum.

From Sunday, September 1, 2024, as part of the prestigious competition, voting for the Public Prize - the CNN Prima NEWS Prize, in which all registered buildings are involved, is also taking place. You can vote here until November 7, 2024 (Czech only).

The reconstruction of the original buildings in Jinonice and the completion of the new multifunctional building took place from 2020. The Jinonice Campus opened to students and teachers in full at the end of 2023. The main architect of the project was Ing. architect Miroslava Tylšová from the Apris 3M studio. When designing the new building, the architects emphasized sustainability and energy efficiency.

Construction of the Year is the largest national competition in the field of architecture and construction, which annually maps the achievements of Czech companies, individuals and institutions in the territory of the Czech Republic and beyond.The competition is organized by the Foundation for the Development of Architecture and Construction as a foundation program managed by the program board with the participation of the co-authors of the competition - the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Czech Chamber of Authorized Engineers and Technicians, and the Association of Construction Entrepreneurs.
