Our long-time colleague Prof. Hynek Jeřábek received a significant award from the Scientific Council of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. He received this award for his many years of professional activity, development of the field of sociology and active cooperation with the professional environment in the Czech Republic and abroad. Professor Jeřábek is one of the most prominent Czech sociologists.
In his research, he has long focused on the methodology of sociology, the history of sociological research and the study of the legacy of Paul Lazarsfeld, one of the key figures of modern empirical sociology. He significantly contributed to the development of the sociological workplace and the study field of Sociology at the Faculty of Arts, where he also worked as an active member of the Faculty's Scientific Council.
