  • Sociological Ball

    The 8th Sociological Ball will take place on Friday 28 March, 7 p.m. at the Paspův sál. This ball will commemorate Hans Christian Andersen and his fairy tales which are also reflection of the society, its values, inequalities and chanes.
  • Anthropocene: the contemporary world in transdisciplinary perspective

    Intensive week-long programme in Prague (8 - 12 September, 2025) and online meetings in the spring and fall semester.
  • Science at FSV UK: Researcher from ISS on the sociology of medicine and the essential dialogue between natural and social sciences

    Jaroslava Hasmanová Marhánková from our Institute of Sociological Studies has explored various topics throughout her academic career. In recent years, she has primarily focused on the sociology of medicine. Through her current research on antibiotic resistance, she aims to deepen the necessary collaboration between medical and social sciences. Read about her academic path and current research projects.
  • Workshop: The Most Valuable Skills for Your Future Career

    We invite you to a workshop with Tetiana Sokolova, Procurement Digital Manager EUR AB InBev about future career trends, essential soft & hard skills, best practices and information about career possibilities in AB InBev. The workshop takes place on 24 March 2025 from 4:00 to 4:50 in the Jinonice Campus, room B316. The working language is English.
  • Erasmus+ Placements Call

    Erasmus+ internships are a great opportunity to gain work experience abroad with the financial support from the Erasmus+ programme. Applications must be submitted until April 15, 2025. The current call is valid for mobilities in the period June - September 2025.
  • How does FSV UK support its female scientists in their career development?

    On February 11, we celebrated the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, the aim of which is to remind us of their essential role in the scientific environment and to support their involvement in research. On this occasion, we introduce three participants of the faculty mentoring programme, which is intended to help female researchers with career development and with the reconciliation of both personal and professional life.
