Doc. Zdeněk Uherek, colleague from the Sociology Department, has co-edited a new book titled Local and Global Impacts of the War in Ukraine alongside Jerome Krase from Brooklyn College, The City University of New York. The newly released publication reflects the ongoing commitment of ISS to produce academic work that addresses critical contemporary social issues within a global context. -
Charles University Grant Agency call for projects
The Charles University Grant Agency (GAUK) has announced a call for 2024. Projects for 1-3 years can be submitted by master's and doctoral students in the standard period of study by 30 October 2023. -
Migrants and Refugees in Europe. Work Integration in Comparative Perspective.
Dino Numerato, Karel Čada and Karin Hoření have published chapter "Civil society organisations and labour market integration: barriers and enablers in seven European countries". This work is one of the outcomes of the Sirius project on the labour market integration of migrants and refugees in Europe hosted by ISS from 2018-2021. -
