Anotace semináře:

The way different societies make sense of what cannot be thoroughly explained or understood is an eminent anthropological topic, in which alternative technologies of knowledge such as science, religion, and magic converge. Discussing the aftermath of the fire at the Colectiv nightclub in Bucharest in 2015, this presentation explores the production of conspiracy theories among Orthodox Romanians asking a specific question: in what ways are conspiracy thinking and Christian faith related?
